Holographic Technology and Communication

Hey there followers,

For those of you that have found the new site. I have chosen to use my blog to actually begin to share my research references that will help me begin to shape my AR Project. So for today I want to share a technology that is slowly catching fire. I promise you will all have to ban iPhone usage from your classroom after one look at this app.

HoloText - Holographic Text Messaging

How's that for crazy? Let me know your thoughts...

  2. How would you create the hologram in the first place? Never the less "text" it to someone? There seems to be a bit missing. Let me know; Otherwise, I'd love to get this app. If its for real!

  3. I saw this and had the same questions as Jolee above. So I did a little Google search and found the video is a hoax for a contest that Google is have for "Mobile phone tricks" hosted on youtube.

The nice thing about this article is that it has a link to MIT that shows the smallest to date holographic projector. No where near the size of an iPhone. The validity and reliability of the MIT article is much better than a youtube video.

So Big O... were you just having fun with us or wishing hard for that new iPhone app?
